Caught a movie again today. Its not like a mega production but its good for some laugh. It's a light hearted show. Ahah... i think Business ethics class professors might wanna consider screening this movie as part of the course syllabus just to spice things up a little and take away the monotony from all the theleological... dunno what... and kant's theory boring stuff. The special thanks section which came on screen after the show ended paid tribute to a lot of staffs from Enron, Arther Andersen, Worldcom...
I fell in love with the salt+ vinegar popcorn. I really love the popcorn at Siam paragon. I never used to like popcorn so much. In the past, i always have problems finishing popcorn. Today.. ahha.. the popcorn which Amy and Le thuy and I shared were finished even b4 we entered the cinema. Haha... really good.
Im beginning to enjoy rising from the seats to pay respect to the king when they play the national anthem in the theatre b4 the show. That definitely stirred much patriotism and the sense of belonging in the Thais... even though im not one but i can feel that in me. Haha.. its just a nice moment of reflection, to see the king and some of this contribution in the short clip.
Well.. today while getting a cab to Hua lumphong train station to buy train tickets... i was rejected by 3 cabbies.. The last one that took us didnt ask for 200bt... but he stopped by shell station to pee. HAha... And he was really nice and friendly. He brought us to this TAT travel agency place... and i think TAT is some tourism authority for thailand also... to book out tickets. However, i think he gets commission by doing this and the place we booked our train + bus + ferry probably charged a little more than what we would have to pay on our own. Cos it costs us 2336bt in total.. that is almost S$100 for just the transportation. I know this is not much when you convert to Sing dollar but im looking at it from Thai baht's perspective. Koh Samui and Koh phangan is really out of the way!! This 2336 will bring us 15 hours of train ride, 2 hours of bus ride and 3 hours of ferry just to get from bkk to samui. And yeah.. there is the return journey too. However, this is half of what we pay if we were to take a return ticket from bkk to samui. Anyway, there is only one airline that operates from Bkk to Samui. That is bangkokairways. Sigh... they are the monopoly here. So the price of the ticket is defnitely overpriced. But the trouble of having to travel for 20hours will make the plane ticket seem like a more sane option. However, money is what i have to work with and time is what i have now... so... YEAH... CHOO CHOO TRAIN...
The trip to Hua hin and Ayutthaya cost me about 1000bt each. See that difference? I could play and pay for the transport and food and accomodation for 1000bt in hua hin. Now im paying 2336 only for the transport.
Rental tom. Need to pay for the suit that i tailored. And another pair of train tickets to Chiang mai.
Im feeling the pinch!!!
