35 Degree celsius is KILLING me...

Ok.. our first Tuk Tuk experience in bangkok. The driver told us to go to this shop... and he will get some gasoline coupon for his tuk tuk. Since there wasnt any extra charges, we went. By the way, we wanted to go to Jim Thompson's house from national stadium BTS and he offered to drive us there for 20bt. And so.. that shop turned out to be this posh jewellery place. For rich tai tais and tourists. AHah.. we are only poor students... Then the man in that place began to show us around. And then came the inevitable question... "where are you from?". Okay.. first time, im doing this against my will... "Malaysia", I went. And he went, " Orh.. KL??" and so I nodded. And he began to tell me the prices of jewellery in Ringgit. Woah.. Now i never even keep up with the ringgit sing exchange rate.... Anyway.. later he realised finally that we are not going to spend a CENT there. But they were nice.. they still bid goodbye with excellent service. AHha.. and so.. our mr tuk tuk was waiting for us. So we finally got to go Jim Thompson. And he agreed to bring us to Thanon Khao san to cos i need to go for my 2nd fitting for my suit. And now he requested for us to go one more "shop". We refused to budge... So in the end, we took a cab to Thanon Khao san.. and yes.. my suit will need some final touch up and they agreed to deliver to me. Yay... but.. no more tuk tuk. Cos the air was really bad... and yeah.. its a tedious affair negotiating with them. Lesson learn: If tuk tuk drivers ask for too high amount, they will bring you to ya destinations immediately. If they ask for extremely low prices... you will need to go and entertain jewellery shop people... SIGH... The worst thing was, JTH was just opp the road from where we took the tuk tuk. @#$%^&*
