Weeeeee.........
I know there are restrictions to bringing liquid items onto the plane. BUT... I didnt expect that I was given these two options at the security check: Gulp down my mineral water (Small Evian) or throw it away. Woah Lao... It's just mineral water mah. And isnt it strange that they sell mineral water on the plane too? Isnt it strange that I was forced to gulp down my mineral water yet they are selling food and drinks inside here too? That's a Warp Logic.
Anyway, the keyboard im typing on is pretty bad... Where some of the keys are really bad. And 10% of the alphabets have already faded. Im made to stand in order to enjoy this free service but each time I am restricted to 15 min and I have to log on.
That leaves me with 5 min to finish my post before it is auto logged off.
Haha...
WELL... Let's talk about the good things.
I had a not so delicious sandwich (Focus on the sandwich, not the adjective) at Hans.. I love the way they put their menu on the board, the way flight details are put. Can Imagine right? Those black board with big white alphabets.
And I bought a CLEO and decided to buy I weekly too cos I figured that i might be more interested in Gossipy news than to stretch my half awake brain with the philosophical books.
Its a strange but nice feeling to be travelling alone.
One thing for sure.
I LOVE travelling!!
And the feeling I have now, the pre-departure one is one of the most addictive feeling. Its a subtle euphoria.
I Like.

Happy Belated Birthday!
Yummy Mexican Food @ Cha Cha Cha, Holland Village.
Strawberry Magarita freeze is a MUST for all mexican food! They just go.. I dunno why and how but i lUVE that totally.
The sizzling beef on the hot plate is to be wrapped in a burrito-like thingie. Very nice.
And we have some prawn wrap and shredded chicken wrap, with mashed beans. The food is pretty good. However, I guess if Mogan's friend were to be there and perhaps with more directions, we would be able to better enjoy the mexican food the mexican way, and not SG way.
Belated birthday Munie! Though I dun think he reads my blog anymore haha
ANYWAY
Harry's Mexican Restaurant @ Orchard Hotel is still my favourite. Perhaps because the ambience, the variety and the fact that it was free made a difference. Haha. The strawberry Magarita Freeze is DA THING!!! Absolutely fantastic. I will go back there again... And I should have since citibank card holders actually get 15%. Oooh... Maybe next month!
This is something worth a change if you are sick of jap food, american food and all the chinese food. MEXICAN FOODIE is GOOD.

TRAVEL BUGGIE
Yippie!

Here are the list of things I intend to do in order that I get a holistic HK experience:
Im finally leaving for HK in 2 days' time.
Im mobilising all my resources available in HK, Shenzhen, Guangzhou.
I cant decide if I should go visit Disney.
Here are the list of things I intend to do in order that I get a holistic HK experience:
- Chill out / Club / Pub at Lan Kwai Fong. This will be one exciting night. QIN MEI!! Try and come to HK on friday!! We will have about 8 peeps gathering there. Should be awesome man!
- Island Visiting: Lantau Island, Chang Zhou
- Shop around (For this, I will keep it under control, after staying in BKK for 5 months and after the Viet and nepal trip, I seriously think I should STOP buying things that I think I can use... rather, i should only buy things that I WILL use for sure.)Let me pray and not die in the hands of the sea of fancy bags and shoes in HK and SZ.
- Eat I will certainly go savour the different great cantonese cuisines, see how delicious and different all the CHA CUM TENG are from the ones in Singapore, try to eat the legendary SMELLY FRIED TOUFU, curry fishballs... HAHA... all the street food. And eat the Pork Chop burger in Macau. Everyone says I MUST EAT THAT!! Of course... DIM SUM, Desserts... woah.. I cant wait man! Perhaps Chiman will be able to bring me to the more heartland areas.
- Theme Parks Hmm... I guess I will most prob still go visit Disney and Ocean Park. Since I am ALREADY there... Haha... Chiman found a part time job there. He helps out with the costumes in Disney. Fashion Designer in the making.
- ShenZhen, Guangzhou. Okay... This is with a big IF. Shenzhen is possible. Guangzhou would be too ambitious. HAha.. but sounds good isnt it?
- MOVIE This is a must-do. Oh... Sy, we should have gone for a movie in Vietnam!! This is a pact I made with myself. In all the cities or places that I travel to, I MUST catch a movie. That is quite an interesting way to immerse into the country's culture. All in the cinema.
- Museums... I wanna go to the Maritime Museum! MAybe the Heritage Museum too. What is travelling without understand a little of the place's history. RIGHT?
Now i only look forward to chewing my favourite Honey Mustard with Onion Pretzel, drink some Evian and Apple juice, with my MP3 on, and enjoy my Witch of Portabello in the plane on the way to MACAU....

Farewell
Farewell to the man that I hold utmost repect for even though it was a short 3 months.
I respect him as a boss.
I respect him for his wit.
I respecti him for his knowledge and experience.
I respect him for his management skills.
I respect him for his humor.
I respect him for his ability to lead.
Lastly, I respect him for having all the above qualites and yet he was the most humble man I have ever seen.
I am most grateful to him for he not only believed in me, he groomed me.
He saw the potential in me, he let me explore.
He guided me when I have no clue and he showed me the way.
He gave me such strong sense of security, I never felt better.
He pushed me out of my comfort zone, to ensure that I learn and get things done even though I had no confidence in achieving it.
When I eventually achieved it, his words of encouragement lifted not just my spirits, they lifted my soul when he made me turn my weakness into a strength.
He is a true leader and is always ready to share.
Certainly, he has touched my life.
And I will remember the valuable things he taught me. Always.
When I first entered this industry I had zero knowledge of, he built the stairways essential for me to climb up to reach the door before I eventually get in.
The door opened, and I was let in. Without the steps, I wouldnt have been here. At least, not this way.
Thank you William!

Maybe
Perhaps things are going to get back to normal.
Perhaps I am able to work at my own pace again and not be forced to trudge through the fields not at my own speed, but at the speed that I was expected to be moving... rather, the speed that the team is expected to be moving at.
I am me. I am not a team.
I have to bring the team together.
And we need to trudge along.
I am weary. Physically and emotinally.
I hope to be able to see some results. However, I cant help but shudder at the thought of being checked out of the blue and be caught for moving too slow... rather, let the team be caught for moving too slow.
Im not the one giving directions but it seems that I do not have a choice anymore since the directions that were given were inconsistent and random, clearly with no strategy.
I cant just be slaving at a corner, I have to make sure that we are on the right track, and also put in effort in the trudge, and not just stand there and be a NATO.
Editing is not difficult.
Making fine changes is not difficult.
Creation is.
Starting from scratch is.
I have to survive. I will survive.
It is not about proving myself to others for any face credit or so.
Im doing so out of necessity.
They think you are fresh from school, you have no experience, you cant get it done.
Until you get it done. And then you talk. People will then listen to you.
This is the rule in working life. Especially when you are going to bring people to move in ya direction. Talk and talk only brings you only so far.
Do it.
DO it well.
Do it right.
90% of the work we do is common sense and skills. The technicalities are not rocket science. They can be learnt on the job. But if you have the technicalities, but you lack the skills and most importantly common sense, you will fail. And not only will you drag yourself into shit, you bring all with you along too.
Still trudging along...
Not sure when it will end...
