Time for Celebration

This is my fav chill out place. The Live acoustic music and singing was great. The price of the drinks are reasonable, especially if you get in during happy hours. And the CALAMARI + FRIES is my FAVOURITE!!! Will keep going back there.

Oooohh.. I must say that I am pretty impressed with this movie. I almost fell asleep in the first 10 min but after that I did not stop laughing all the way till the ending. Its a pretty good movie. At least, I like it. If not for the fact that the ticket was bought, I wouldnt have wanted to watch it. BUT Im glad that I did. Cos its really quite entertaining. GOOD MOVIE! Should be my last movie of 2006.

Goodbye 2006

Its time to clear all the unwanted from my room. Time to clear out the mess of 2006.

Time to indulge in all that has been bringing me happiness and spending time with people who are worth it.

Time to indulge in music and songs.

Time to indulge in all the books and pleasure my soul.

Time to day dream about my travel plans 2007. So many places that I wanna visit again. Time to gather my travel buddies too. They are very important to me. I wanna share the beautiful moments with the right people. So far, I have the best travel buddies.. Jy and Sy... More to come.

Time to wipe away the tears and refill the courage tank and fill the air with happy gases.

TRIBUTE 1:Park JI Yoon

And I miss you So MUCH JY!!
I felt that I havent given you a proper farewell hug.
I felt that I havent given you a proper farewell letter.
I missed ya birthday while I was away in Kathmandu and Im sorry for that.
I missed sending you a Xmas sms cos I didnt have ya korea number.
I will never forget the times we spent together. Lauging at each other. Laughing with each other. Every moment spent was so real and so happy. Simple. And Happy.
The happiness is something that I always yearn for.
The company is something I will always treasure and keep deep in my heart.
All the best! I will try very very hard to make it to seoul in 2007. For sure... Maybe if I can I will try winter. And spend a real white Xmas with you!!!
I will always hold a strong and special feeling for Bangkok, especially evergreen service apartment cos of the happy moments and many memorable times we had.
You are the first roommie that I had and Thank You for all the wonderful things you have done for me and taught me. I miss riding the waves at the beaches in thailand with you. Sun bathing with you. Getting scared with you. Squeezing in the bathroom with you to share the mirror. Getting dress up for all the clubbing. Dancing so happily even if there was just the two of us. Bitching and talking about guys. sharing gossips and laughing at people, more often than not, ourselves. I love you Jy!! BEST ROOMIE EVER!!

TRIBUTE 2: Guo Shiying

Sy!! I wanna confess something! That I really do feel bad about leaving you in the hotel room in the last 2 days in Kathmandu. I want to tell you that I kept thinking about whether you had ya lunch and dinner and whether or not you were feeling better while I was away. I visited the bakery to check if there was any of ya fav food but you know lah, the bakeries there wasnt quite very much the same. I tried to make sure that You have enough water cos You cant get dehydrated. You will get groggy!! And Yes I must mention this, the first and most obvious similarity you and Jy share is the way you two wash ya face. By splashing A LOT of water onto ya face and then wetting the sink and the floor in the toilet. My toiletries are always wet whether I share the toilet with Jy or you!! Maybe that Is one characteristic I should look out for in my future travel buddy if the two of you are not free. HAha... ANd 2006, thank you for the wonderful times we had in Ho chi minh city. Both of us were extremely scared and always said a silent prayer b4 crossing the streets in vietnam. Always trying to control each other from over spending in shopping. For the nepal trip, thanks for being such a great buddy whom i can have many many heart to heart talk with anytime, anywhere. It was a bit wierd and sad to have to part with you and split room to sleep with our assigned buddy during the retreat. It was only when we meet up again in kathmandu that I feel that the hotel stay was once again more comfortable and cos Im just so used to having you around. Although it didnt seem to disturb you enough to get up and help me when I was puking badly in the middle of the night in the village and you are sleeping only one small finger away from me. AHHA... Classic question, you opened ya eyes to ask if I was puking and then you went back to sleep. AHAH... KIDDING LAH!!! I know you care about me. Thank you! I bet you were worried sick to wake up to find that I was hospitalised.( I hope you were). HAHA.. I knew I had a lot of write for you and I only want to write the best and nothing but the best for you and that is why I didnt pen anything for you in ya journal. I hope the post here would suffice. I had a lot a lot of laughter with you around. You made my last semester in SMU complete! Thanks for being such a buddy!!! I love you too SY! I know that 2007 would be a very important year for you too! Enjoy ya exchange in HK! I will try to fly over too. Bring me to the places with the good food. ENjoy yourself!!! I will certainly miss you!! BEST Buddie ever!!

TRIBUTE Of the year : Kevin Wongso

Im not sure If I have said this enough. Thank you Mr wongso for all that you have done for me. No one understood me the way you did. Thank you for being there for me especially when I needed someone. Thank you for going through the tough times with me. Thank you for rendering me help and advice whenever I need one. Although sometimes I never give in to try the food in the places you were so enthusiastic to bring me to, till now, I think i still havent tried the tg pagar place, the raffles hotel area chicken rice, the hong lim complex food etc, I am aware of them. Will try with you ok? Not say say only. Although sometimes it seems I dun care but I do. I remember you see.. Haha... Ya superb administrative skills in mending my emails inbox and replying and deleting junk mails ( i hope they were junk to me and not just you) to make sure that I get my grades and have my graduation settled. Thank you for eating with me in kopitiam when I had to lunch alone. Thank you for being there for me when I needed a shoulder to cry on. Each and everytime I needed just that little bit of ya attention, you put aside everything that you do and spare me the time. THank you! I appreciate that. And you have just broken the record of sending me 14 smses consecutively while I was away in kathmandu to entertain me with the news summary of what happened in sg, updating me on kevin news, and also just to chat with me...and the most impressive, is you typed the info you got from Lonely planet online and sent them to me via SMS. All these knowing that the I might not even reply! Thank you! Thank you for seeing my dreams and supporting me, sometimes pushing me, sometimes holding me back from going astray, sometimes giving me the wake up call but EVERYTIME Being there for me. Thank You!! BEST FRIEND EVER WONGSO!!!.

I will win the war

I didnt realise that I was in a battle until I had to start fighting without my armour.

I manage to win the battle.

I will have my armour from now on.

Cos.

I wanna win the war.

I will win the war.

Happy ME

Angry!! I started typing furiously away with the happy post and I had 2 big paragraphs done until I suddenly clicked on some button and my post was gone!!! ARRGGHHH...

Anyway, I was saying, My ah mei jie jie is funny. I was supposed to meet up with the girlies from Namaste for sakae buffet but it seems that no one is really planning it and it is i think sort of cancelled. And I was supposed to meet my sis to shop for the pressie for the Post Xmas cum Pre New year lunch at my auntie's place this sun. And I figured that today is the last WEEKDAY that I am officially free for indulgence like sakae buffet cos im starting work next week. She suggested having buffet with me at LOT 1. Of which I gave a big HUH??? cos I wanna ensure that I get quality sushi after craving for it so badly for 3 weeks and also this is my last sakae sushi buffet in a very long time. SO I said we should go Wheellock sakae. and this is her classic reply:

"Woah! 那边的parking park 了眼泪会滴下来。"

HAha.. my jie jie... Anyway.. Think we should still be there.

Oh and I guess I am feeling really happy and excited plus positive and motivated cos the extremely bad skin that I brought back from nepal is showing signs of improvement after I tried so hard to remedy and take care of it yesterday with fruits, lots of water, scrub, exfoliation, proper clensing and a deep pore cleansing mask + barley water. Also, I had finally repaid my sleep debt. Dun ask me why I even incurr sleepdebt when I had all the time in the world to sleep. I guess after my stomach recovered like 3 days ago, I grabbed every chance to travel around and play with the guys in kathmandu, while poor Sy who had began to suffer from food poisoning and indigestion parked herself in hotel marshyandi for two whole days. And that explains why the pics that I posted so far hardly include sy.

One of the biggest reason why I think Im happy is cos I talked to Mal this morning!! HAha.. No matter how short the conversation was. He always made me feel motivated about my work. And I will not disappoint him. Cos he believed in me so much and he gave me so much opportunities. He was willing to guide me and empower me. That was at least what I got during the internship. So I was told that I have already been booked by william for the first few months in the procurement department. That is also one area of the business I have zero knowledge of. I would like to start there anyway if I was given a choice. So everything is falling pretty much into place. I dunno how things are going to be like cos I certainly have some expectations or impressions already formed cos of my short stint in the office. Anyhow, I shall be very very humble and begin my first step into the working life!!

Oh mei jie jie also ask me about going to bkk in Jan. I would love to certainly but i guess i cant just do that since i just started work. Hmm...But I would definitely will go back to bkk soon. You guys should go check out the extremely nice Bkk Airport. The new one. I didnt have much time to walk around though cos each time I was there, i was rushing from one gate to another. Even when mummy ask me to help her get pork floss I cant cos there was simply no time to stop. Its really nice and big. I miss BKK!!!!! ARRGGHHH...

I will first of all clear up my mess in the room. I wanna actually paint my room but I guess that is too ambitious for only these few days that I have. I shall leave it to one weekend in 2007 and try as much as I can to enjoy my last few days of neither a student nor a worker. AHAH.

And Jay is back from the netherlands. Not sure when we can meet up but we certainly will. HAHa.. till today im still amused by how we met. Haha.. anyway, the last time I met you was in Bkk and Peter. Wonder if you two still looks the same. AHah..

Hopefully, I get to see Oslo, Norway soon!!

Over looking the hindu temple, and the crematorium. As the place is pretty spooky, cos we were there to witness the whole process of the nepali-hindu cremation, we decided that we shouldnt and we wouldnt want to take pictures.

This is a damn romantic place for honeymoon. Nice and cosy room with a out of the world view outside!! Minus the frequent blackouts at night... This is the best place for couples to be!!
Posted by Picasa

How would you feel to be greeted by such a view the moment you open ya eyes in the morning?
Posted by Picasa

We thought that this was all to a sunrise
Posted by Picasa

There it is!! Thank God Jac was awake and she woke all of us up!! The Sun IS rising

Sunrise at Nagarkot. This was taken from the balcony of my room. Once in a life time view.

Its a rainy day...

The most hated question came. I knew I had to face it no matter what. I dun think that was the answer I wanna give. But I guess, I dun have a choice.

Somebody take me away please.

Far Far away.

I hate myself for feeling this way.

I cant help it, or can I?

"Heads and shoulders knees and toes, knees and toes.. Knees and toes..."
I miss you all.
I miss the laughter.
The candid talk.
The hugs.
The warmth.

I think I need a hug now. A real tight one.

Although I travelled a lot this year, I saw a lot and experienced a lot. But this is also a year which I felt most forgotten. Im determined to have it changed in 2007. And I will. I sort of know what I want now. The more I see, the smaller I feel I am, the more beautiful dreams I yearn.

Merry Christmas 2006 - Kathmandu

My first Xmas gift 2006. Its the mini rittersport chocolate from Jason!! More to come!! We couldnt decide to countdown singapore time or Nepali time. HAha... We missed the singapore one at the pub and we did the nepali one at the rooftop of the Hotel with sparklers, Wine, chocolate and extreme cold with Anil trying to lead the christmas carolling.. Discovering Street delights with the Fake Nepali

Check out the awesome looking nepali sweets

I saw a lot of this food which i cant remember the name on the streets of Kathmandu. And Anil brought us to this shady alley which turned out to be pretty crowded with people. And this is his fav stall. The balloon thing is like a biscuit, it is filled with curry potatoes and a special sauce that is a bit spicy and sour from that red jar. And he makes it fast and you must eat fast too
Posted by Picasa

Anil, Naresh, Me and Adrian.. That is Goat's lungs with chilli. It is Anil's favourite food. It tastes pretty good I must say, it is like very very tender chicken, much more tender than that. This was from the streets but its safe cos that's his fav stall. He said it takes a long time to make this cos they need to blow the lungs to inflate it and then pump milk inside to soak the lungs. Yummy
Posted by Picasa

Anil's papa send this to all of our rooms!! That was so sweet of him!!

This is the Sunset view @ Nagarkot. We are like about 5000km above the ground. It was extremely cold but the view was worth it. I had this view while having our late lunch. I did not steal this picture from some microsoft office or from the net ok? This is a picture i took with my cam and the real sunset that I saw was this captured in the picture, only difference is that it is 10 times better when you see it with ya eyes as the orange gets more obvious.
