Dedicated to Qin mei

Ahah... Was talking to Qin Qin on msn and she told me that she has been following my blog. AHha.For that, i will put up a nice update for her. Well, the past few updates has screwed up taglines and postings. HAha.. today i shall do a good one. Well, today is the 15th of JAn. TOM IS MY BDAE!!!

Today is the last day when i can have unlimited internet access cos the one week internet thingy that i bought from the holland gal was up. Two of my roommates went to Koh Samet. The whole house has me and Ji Yoon only. Now the housekeepers are here. HAah.. Feel so bad that they had to clean up the mess everyday. And i think its even more embarrassing having to sit here and they are cleaning up our huge mess. AHha.. and i wonder what goes on in their mind now...

I went to Khao San road yesterday for the first time. Nice place but seriously, i dun really feel like im in bangkok there cos there are more foreigners than Thais. I had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant " TOM YAM GUNG". By the way, TOM yam you guys should know what it is, Gung means prawns and the tom yam soup there was really delicious. I had this roasted fish friend rice which turns out to be salted fish fried rice... XIAN YU CHAO FAN. Haha. But their salted fish is cut in huge pieces and they arent as salty as the ones we have in singapore. Nice combination but this is the most expensive meal i had in the week. AHha... 156 baht. Ok, although it is just s$7, but now i value every Baht as it is and not look at every one Baht as a 1/24 of Sing dollar.

HAd a chill out session yesterday after Khao san road at my apartment with Ji Yoon and Mean. We went to 7-11 to buy drinks. I got a Lychee Breezer, Mean and his Singha and Ji Yoon, who refused to touch alcohol the day b4 yesterday at the club got a big can of Heiniken. Ahah... And i had to da bao Phad Thai and Fried Mussels which is essentially the fried oyster we have in singapore and rather than oysters, there is mussels with a lot of bean sprout for Jeff who was still having a hangover from the night b4. He too came over and i returned his passport to him. Haha... Think he must have got it all planned cos the moment we got into the club, he handed me his passport and told me to take care of him in case he gets raped by some Thai gal when he gets drunk.

Think i need to start planning my travelling schedule although i am really contented with the way of life here. I can just stay in my apartment and do things slowly, the way i want it and just not worry about too many things especially those i left back at home. Quality of life... hmm... It has to first come from the mind and soul. Im glad i found the Shi laughs everyday back again.

Today's plan: go visit the Grand palace and the few big temples in the western part of bangkok and hopefully get a boat ride along the Chao Praya River. B4 that, I had to do some grocery shopping cos JY and I have ran out of food to eat already.

She is eating leftover potato chips from yesterday for breakfast!!! Haha.. cos she ran out of milk for the honey stars. So silly gal... of course i will offer her my milk the way she offered me her Kim chi... HAha... Ji yoon is following this blog too and i better not talk too much..

Gotta get a swim suit today. I brought my bikini top and didnt bring any shorts or bottoms that i can go swimming with. Cos back in Spore i ususally wear shorts with the bikini top or either that wear my swim suit. And well... I left my swim suit and no shorts now. I wanna get into the pool soon cos the temperature is rising... And by the way, this is suppose to be the WINTER season of bangkok. HAha..

Oh, yesterday on the cab home from Khao San road, at around 9pm, i saw a few Thais speaking loudly, holding this Thai flag and this other Yellow colour flag. THat was like 5 minutes away from Ratchathewee, the area where im staying in. After we were about to head home from 7 - 11, we saw this huge crowd of people walking on the road and well.. they were having a strike for something. For the first time in my life i witnessed a strike. They took up one whole lane on the road. At first i thought it was someone's funeral but then i think again, haha... what has one's funeral got to do with the country. HAha... Well, what i saw was the front of the strike. On the news later on, i saw the strike that was happening just below my apartment. Im not sure if mummy saw this, cos if she does, i know what she will think... And she will definitely call me. Haha.. on TV theylike to Zoom in and show as if the whole road was filled with people on strike. Actually it was just like 2 lanes on the road and not the way i thought things were when i watched news of strike back home.

Oh, by the way, in the streets of bangkok, there is always this man bringing an elephant around for tourist to feed. And when i meant his elephant, i really mean a real elephant that we see in the Zoo. He will carry bags of sugar cane and lead the baby elephant on the pavement. Haha... I got a shock that day when mum was still here. We walked out of 7-11 and this baby elephant which was still huge was like right in front of me.AHahah.... Fun yeah?

Maybe the next time i manage to catch the elephant and i happen to have my cam with me, i will take a photo for you guys to see.

Im really laughing alot these days. Yesterday i took an aft nap and had this dream. I was laughing in my dream and so was everyone who was in it. HAha.... That is life for me. REally therapeutic!!

Lynette is probably still having problems with her internet connection. Hope to hear some Hong Kong news from you gal...
